It was another great year at the Chicago Skilled Trades Fair. The Department of Family and Support Services along with Chicago Cook Workforce Partnership hosted a trades fair to expose local youth to a variety of different skilled trades. Over fifty local employers, trade unions, and workforce agencies showcased their talents and opportunities to high school youth.

The Chicago Skilled Trades Fair allowed over 3,000 high school seniors to meet with representatives from various unions and skills trades to participate in hands-on activities and gain a better understanding of the skilled trades career pathways.

Thousands of CPS high school students showed up to the event. They experienced various trades and learned about all the different options outside of a typical four-year degree. Exposing these types of opportunities to high school youth can open doors and serve the needs of both the student and the company in a time when labor is needed more than ever.

Absolute was proud to be the general contractor and AV provider for the #ChiTradesFair2023 which was held at McCormick Place. We were honored to be a part of such an important event with an impact that will be felt for years to come.

“We have been using Absolute Productions for 2 years in a row as the general contractor for a major city project. Very pleased with the work including their expertise and their team’s professionalism. Dan and his team were great from the beginning of the process to the end. Our organization looks forward to working with them again in the future.”
